from Valheim The developers have periodically talked about upcoming big updates to the game this year, and this week Iron Gate AB showed off a bit more of the Mistlands update that’s on the way. We’ve seen enemies and many more from the Misty Lands in the past with this week’s reveal giving players a fresh look at one of the weapons that will be added when the Misty Lands becomes accessible. If these trends continue, it seems that Valheim players can expect several more reveals before the Mistlands update is released.

The latest teaser of Mistlands content can be seen below courtesy of Valheim Social account. The devs showed off the Mistlands Bow which will likely end up getting a different name once it’s actually added, but for now you can see what it looks like and how it’s made by watching the video linked in the tweet .

“There will be a lot of new weapons added to Valheim in the Mistlands update, and while it’s still a long way off, we wanted to show you something we’ve been working on!” the devs said in the context provided for the video. “There might still be some additional effects and texture changes, but that’s mostly how it will look. Do you think you will use this bow when it is added to the game?”

Back in February, the devs showed off one of the enemies players would find in the Mistlands, or at least a concept for it. There will be “a bunch of new building pieces and enemies” added alongside the biome along with the previously mentioned weapons and gear, but Iron Gate isn’t ready to talk about all of the mechanics it has planned just yet.

“Along with the Mountain Update, we’ve also accelerated work on Mistlands,” Iron Gate said ahead of the Mountain Update’s release. “The basic concept definition phase is complete, and we know what kind of inhabitants we want the biome to have. This means that we are now working on a bunch of new building pieces and enemies, as well as more definition of the new mechanics we’re going to introduce (although we’d like to keep those a secret for a bit longer).”

from Valheim The Mistlands update currently does not have a release date.
