Marvel’s new Guardians of the Galaxy trailers shine a light on its combat and exploration systems
Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal have released two new videos for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. According to the teams, each video presents insights directly from Senior Gameplay Director Patrick Fortier. In the first video, Fortier explains how the Guardians work in synergy in combat. In the second, he focuses on how the players can lead the Goalies away.
Just as they all have their own non-combat personalities, each Guardian also has their own unique specialties and abilities on the battlefield, with their strategic management proving to be paramount for players hoping to defeat the vast array of different enemies that they may encounter. they will meet while on adventure across the cosmos. Rocket is the group’s multi-target explosives specialist and Groot their protector and healer. Drax is his astounding wrecking ball and Gamora is his high damage single target assassin. Finally, Star-Lord is of course his “so-called” versatile leader.
In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, players will not only have the option of leading the Guardians into battle. As seen in the second video, they’ll also be tasked with pointing their teammates in the right direction while traveling to and from a plethora of iconic Marvel locations across Milan. Making choices (and dealing with the consequences) is a critical part of being a leader, and it’s also central to the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy experience, deciding how to approach a conversation, awarding ability points , to choose between comics – precise and original outfits, and beyond.
The game’s October 26 releases will use Denuvo. In addition, it will support both Ray Tracing and DLSS.
